Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of bike should I buy that is suitable for a beginner?

As a beginner, Mountain Bike is preferred. However if you have a road bike, gravel bike or E-bike you can start. Just ensure it’s the right size for you based on your height. Visit Arch Cycles in Melrose for more information.

Where are you based?

Based in Gauteng. Most of our skills sessions we conduct in South of Jhb, Nasrec and Cradle in Muldersdrift for safety purposes.

When do you conduct your skills sessions?

Our skills sessions are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays, Morning or Afternoon.

How often are your clinics skills sessions?

Our skills sessions are conducted 2-3 times per month in person.

Do I have to attend all cycling skills sessions?

While attendance is encouraged, it’s not mandatory. However, attending all sessions will help you get the most out of the program and meet the graduation criteria as soon as possible.

Can I come with my kids to attend the session?

Unfortunately, our sessions are designed for adults.

What if I missed the skills session, how do I catch up?

If you miss a session, the session will be repeated, however if you need a one-on-one session it can be arranged with Queen Mother, Caroline at an additional cost.

What do I need to join?

To join our cycling skills program, you’ll need:

  • A reliable bike in good working condition
  • A helmet
  • Winning attitude
  • Paid up membership fee
What does the membership fee include?

The membership fee includes:

  • Access to our monthly cycling skills sessions coaching programme(January to August)
  • Guided training rides
  • Exclusive discounts with our partners
  • Weekly training session (once per week) with Group Leader
  • MLC Socks and ICE ID
